Yesterday was just another normal Monday in January on Wall Street. The major indices all bottomed shortly after noon, having been thrashed in the morning -- and all finished with small gains. At the lows, the S&P 500 was off a whopping 175 points or 4%. The intraday bottom was the lowest level for the "500" since June 22, 2021. The Nasdaq was sliced intraday for 674 points and almost 5%, while the Nasdaq 100 (QQQ) also gave up 5%.
